Area Festival qualification help... confused!

I have just been clearing out some papers from my 'horse' file, and was looking at some of the results sheets.

Hannah has two Novices over 62% for her to be qualified for the Petplan Area Festival this summer, which hopefully we will be going to.

Now, Grace has two Novice sheets from November 2007 which are both well over the 62% mark, and two Prelims over 62% which are from September 2007.

So I was wondering... could I use these sheets for Grace for the summer Areas 2008? She qualified for the final at both of these levels, but due to her ligament and colic issues, we will not be attending. These sheets I have are from after the date she qualified (that was in August at Richmond).

Aghhh, I am so confused, please help

My thinking is, I could take Grace and Han to the Area Festival and see whether I could qualify for the Final again... just a year on as everything may be back to normal in August time.

i believe that the rules have changed and now the sheets must be from Jan 2008 to qualify for 2008. i might be wrong but it rings a bell as i think i heard someone else was talking about this a few weeks ago.
hope that helps-the qualification date should be somewhere in the rule book so you could check there to make sure.

Think area festival sheets have to be after 1st of January this year up to close of entries for area festival!

I think the sheets have to be from the the same year as the AF, so from Jan 2008

I thought she may have a chance of going, but will rule that one out now.

Some of the area festivals are very late this year[ OCTOBER],so she may be able to qualify,chin up!

yea i am not sure if there is a cut off date but like THE_carthorse says there are some really late dates for the festivals so you may still be able to qualify! have a flick thru the rules and see if there is any cut off date or anything-think positively

I'm limited to travelling times though... have there been any dates posted yet?

It's Feb now and we are only up to walking 30 mins under saddle... so won't hold any hopes. I am still completely gutted that we are not going to the Finals when she deserved her place there in both classes so much

She has her next scan the week of 17th March... just about to book her in tomorrow for it on 19th hopefully and then we should know a bit more about her prognosis. Fingers crossed we can start trotting!

I am in Lancashire, so have Myerscough, REC, Manor Grange that are in reasonable distances from me

Just looked now:

Myerscough:- 18th - 19th October 2008
Manor Grange:- 6th - 7th September 2008

They had one at the REC last time, I wonder if there are more dates to go on???

Qualification has to be from the 1st of january of the year of the AF - so you can only use sheets from Jan 08. Otherwise everyone would be using sheets from whenever!!!!!

I was thinking it may be like regionals... where you can qualify from the time the previous one closes.
