I used to use it years ago when I had event horses - you kind of mix it up with water until it forms a paste and then you paint it onto their legs. It dries into a thick chalky residue which can be a bit of a nightmare to wash off - I only left it on over night though a friend used to leave hers a couple of days. Think you need to patch test it though in case your horse has a reaction to it.
