Arena eventing - two classes??

Is it ok to enter two classes on the same pony?

Arena eventing wasn’t a thing back when I was actually eventing, I’ve no idea on the etiquette etc..! They’re only little classes but it’s a long way for us if I got eliminated in the first one ?

Plenty do. Just make sure the horse is fit enough. Each class is about 20 jumping efforts in the places we go.

I would think your second round would have to be HC to make it fair to the other competitors.

It’s fine to enter more than one class. As AE says there’s usually quite a few jumps and the courses on the ones I’ve done are fairly technical with long canters between jumps & you aren’t allowed to take any short cuts, so make sure your horses doesn’t run out of puff!

I assumed she meant 2 different classes? Not the same class twice. You dont have to ride HC if you compete in separate classes.

My daughter has done 2 classes at arena eventing . In her class there was 15 jumps She chose one class to be competitive and the other just for a school round . It worked well , in that it gave them both confidence to start jumping the next height up .
