hi, i am new to the forum so sorry if this has been discussed already. has anyone used solar power lighting to light an arena? is it possible (do they give enough light)?

Our yard is off grid and we have about 20 loose boxes and a flood lit arena. The arena lights work fine as long as there is enough power stored in the battery bank (collected from the solar). Problems arise when the horses come in in the worst of winter as the power gets used lighting the stables and then you can be riding on the arena and the lights go off. Not ideal.
If there weren't any horses in and there's enough power stored it wouldn't be a problem. I don't think we had any/many power cuts last year as hardly any horses were in.
It might be fine on a smaller yard with less energy demand.
