Searching for surface advice please. Bit of an odd one with a 5 year fix.
We have recently bought a property that comes with a 25 x 38m "arena" that was installed c.20+ years ago and then neglected. They installed drainage and a membrane so the foundations look good, but then spent 20 years driving over it with sharp sand on top and leaving it to completely grow over. We have cleared the area and are left with a thin layer of sharp sand with some patches of mud. I plan to skim the sharp sand off and then put a surface down to see us through 5 years until we can build a new arena in a different location. Ideally we will re use this surface/drainage on the new arena and top it up with something.
We looked at Martin Collins at Badminton (beautiful!) but I suspect the price will rule them out as a temporary surface. I would like something that will withstand jumping +1m but will likely be used once or twice a day. I do love the Martin Collins type surfaces as they seem really supportive.
What are your recommendations please? Ideally without spending £0,000s as its a temp fix for now. I know I'm probably asking for the impossible!
