set off for arena uk trailblazers this morning with bugsy and monty. entered bugsy in the clear round, 75cm and 85cm, and then monty in the 95cm.
popped on bugsy first, did a lovely clear round the clear round - he was really basculing over the fence, no refusals, que
took him in the 75cm, just had 4 faults, but he was going forward, really taking me into the fences and no refusals, didnt care about the 4 faults, he jumped fab, que again
took him in the 85cm, popped round, again 4 faults (from a one stride double off a corner, i went in quite backward, so ended up adding in a stride, 5 instead of 4, along the following related distance to an oxer, so got a bit deep) but very pleased with him...he jumped fabulously, and he got rather keen, it was a very tight course, but i was still
and arena uk really build there courses VERY up to height , and i swear to god, the 85cm was more like 90-95cm, everything seemed so big when i walked it, andthat made me even more pleased with him, that we had got round a very up to height course
tacked up monty, and warmed up, he was being just his usual 19yo self
popping along fine, so went into the ring for the 95cm, no joke - i SWEAR they were more like 1m-1m05! when i walked the course they came upto my belly button (and that is 1m on me..and one of them was bigger
) so i just kicked on, and came out with a clear
monty was fab. had a look at the J/O course, wasnt too much choice on route, you could either go insanely twisty, or follow a normal route - so, as i was on monty, and his old body cant do tight, i planned to go round normally...the jumps had been whacked up another hole or two
eeek! i havent done bigger courses in ages so was getting rather nervous!! Monty is SO deceptive though in J/O, he always looks so slow, but he really covers the ground and clocks up a fast time...so i just popped round, and we WON!!
woooooo! so happy with him.
so overall a really good day. bugsy had no refusals, and got round a pretty meaty course for an 85cm class...and monty did a cracking couple of rounds and got a nice red rossette (to add to his millions
lol) and soe money

im still buzzing! will post some photos later if they are any good (havent actually looked at any, didnt have time at the show, but i saw a cameraman taking photos, and heard lots of 'clicks' as i was going round, so will look on the websites of arena uks usual photographers and see if i can find them..)
