Excuse me for random irrelevant posts?

Just flicked The Horse Whisperer on (My all time fave film & book) and I admit that I adore the opening scene, with the horse running...
Is it sad that I just sort of sat here thinking 'wow...' and nearly cried?!

Just thinking, we really take horses for granted at times, and they really are amazing creatures.... and much better looking than us most of the time

I would describe horses in many situations as breathtaking!

And when you consider the many beautiful quotes applied to the horse over the centuries then you are certainly not the only one to be touched by a moment of equine beauty!

I agree, my mare is absolutely beautiful to look at.
I do beleive it is the same for people as it is for horses, differing levels of attractiveness.
I know I am biased but my mare is very, very pretty indeed

I have had lots of people tell me so, and one time I never forget was someone actually stopping in their car to tell me how beautiful she was, don't think they were even horsey!

Yup me too. I'm really not into Dressage but watching Moorlands Totilas at Olympia made me well up. It is strange isn't it. I think it's not just about the beauty but the intelligence and ability as well. Watching Monty Roberts also makes me well up!!
 
yes it was the first thng that attracted me to horses when i was a little girl just at how pretty they are. i could sit and watch them in a field for hours they are so beautiful.
I tell my boy every day 'Vinnie you are just so handsome!'

They are gorgeous animals, but some are more elegant and beautiful than others... Scooby, for example, is more cute than beautiful. Thoroughbreds are almost always stunning though! And Spanish horses like Andalusians... and Arabs... oh, they all are really aren't they?

Same! I love dressage (never used to though!) but he is in his own league...
The intelligence also, my horse figure out how to unscrew lids today...

heres my girly in her winter woolies, i'm hoping her belly is due to the camera angle bcoz I never remember her being that big.

I thinks shes a pretty mare, and it sounds silly but she looks like a girl too.

Thanks sol, yeah when she is dolled up she looks even more stunning, that pic is of her all sweaty after a ride out late last summer.

She would come out well in a competition for the next Loreal Horse thats for sure, she has a fantastic mane
