arg! mini rant (well maybe not so)

took my horse jumping last night for 1m and 1m10 jumping and the warm up isnt very big nor wide, and on a horse you cant really turn to the jumps. so i start warming up and this guy is cantering around and his horse is kicking out at everyone who passes - so we all try and stay clear which is very difficult. this quy keeps on going and turns suddenly, meaning that it was very dangerous as we did not know where he was going on this lunatic horse! it was leaping and bucking and trying to lash out at others. AND he was really ignorant!! he had just jumped the parallel so i turned just after that fence so i could avoid him and the prat turns sharply round towards me!! bloody fool- my horse bucks and kicks out when he feels threatned by another horse coming at him!! was SO pissed off at him - and he wasnt even jumping in the class!! so he stood by the enterance to the arena and kept kicking out! arhh he was so ignorant

and in tonights lesson my friend was in front of me and i made sure that i was half a school length behind her as we were doing leg yielding or shoulder-in along the long side, and she turns a circle and cuts me off!! was cross at that as i had to stop and i lost all my rythm

grr!! it was the guy in the warm up that really got my goat!

I share your irritation. You get some awful idiots in collecting rings and it winds me up no end. Sadly, 'complaining' seems to have little effect...it's always someone else's problem.

Millbrook???

I have the same problem there - ie not wide enough to turn into practice fence. He shouldn't have been standing in the warmup though, there is an adjacent area for that purpose.
