dont do this or that. this is good that isnt. trotting on the road it bad

why isn't there one opinion im so confused and dont no what to do with my horse some days -.-

You could look into the arguments and come to your own conclusion.........

But at the end of the day things aren't black and white, there are differing views and preferences with horsey things as with anything.

Make your own judgement as to what works for your horse and you.
I occasionally use draw reins. I trot small distances and up hills on roads, I also ride in a drop noseband.
My mare is happy, healthy and supple.
So who cares :D

There is always one opinion, the authors opinion, its whether you agree or not

simples :)

Use your judgement on what works for you & your horse & what keeps you both happy, someone will always disagree with something you do! I'm long past caring what people think!! But if you ask for any cc, be aware that you might not hear what you want to hear!!! :) xx

I ride in a loosely done flash otherwise she tends to put her tongue over the bit and pee off,
I trot on roads because a lot of our hacking is on roads (otherwise I would have to walk everywhere)
and I have been known to use a pessoa in order to encourage her to use her bum and flex over her back.

I don't think I am a bad person or that I am cruel. They are all done for a reason and all in moderation. If the decisions are the right ones for you AND your horse then it is better to do that than go with the crowd and struggle a lot.

I've not heard anyone say anything bad about a pessoa? Everyone i've spoken to speaks highly off them.

Because we're talking about horses! And the first rule of horses is that everyone must form strongly held opinions about everything. The second rule of horses is yard politics. So someone somewhere should feel annoyed or offended by your opinions.
And our horses are our babies and we are the only ones who know how to look after them and train them 'right'. If we are so fussy about getting the banks our way not someone else's way then important decisions like training methods and use of gadgets are bound to be more controversial.
The best thing to do is pick a couple of people you respect and trust like your vet and instructor and go with what they say on particular issues until you're happy with the arguments and have formed your own opinion.

And for the record, I hate pessoas.

Come to your own conclusion on what works for you and your horse and remember, every horse is different.. certain things may not work for there horses but it might for yours! :)

The only thing as controversial as how you look after your horse is how you bring up your children!

When a friend referred to our horse as "your four legged daughter" he was onto something!!
