Argh! Filly going ballistic when other horses come back from hack

My filly is great to lead unless she sees the other horses coming back from their hack and then she bronks, rears and prances. The last time she did this was 5 months ago when I was leading her and I really thought by now she had grown out of it but today same thing happened. Same as before I just pulled her down to the side and circled her until I could walk her on safely. After I did some training and she was back to her usual well behaved self. I'm supposed to be moving her shortly and after today really worried how she'll react to new horses and lots of space! Would a mild sedative help take the edge off? I'm moving her as she is in a pen over winter and I want her living out with a herd, she only has a horse in the next pen so not being able to properly interact is an issue.
 
I should thinkliving out in a herd will sort any problems out, as she is socially and space deprived at the moment she is over reacting with excitement to others, if she can be with them they will become the norm.
 
Yes! I know once she'd settled in her new environment she'll be much happier all round as she needs space! I'm just worried about getting her there! It's just a short walk and I really don't know how she'll react, she may surprise me but it's going to be a huge thing for her.
 
Is she bitted? If not I would do it before you go if possible. Then lunge line, hard hat and a helper!
 
No, she has wolf teeth so wasn't planning on it anytime soon. She's not strong and gives to pressure even when she was going on a mad one I didn't ever feel like I would let go, just the rearing and bronking unnerved me as I was on a lane with not much room to work with.
 
I've emailed an IH trainer in the hope they can come and help on the day. Still wondering about the sedative though...
