Following on from an earlier post...
Basically horse got small raised lumps all over him last thurs. The only thing that I'd changed recently was put him on redcell - thought that was problem. Had vet out weds to give him shot of dex as he was so itchy...took him off redcell, clipped him as his summer coat is thick , left him unrugged, lumps went down. Thought I was sorted...
Evented him yesterday. Left him with a sheet on last night as was a bit more chilly and wind was blowing through his stable (he had bandages on aswell from the event)...today he's lumpy and itchy again. So I'm now thinking it's not redcell - maybe he was hot last night? Or I suppose it could be the washing powder I washed his rug in (although its a sensitive non-bio powder...)
Just getting frustrated as can't work it out! They're def not fly bites as he gets the lumps overnight and when he's stabled. But he's SO itchy, been rubbing his bum and he's not happy. Am thinking will have to get vet out again for another shot of dex, but can't keep going on like this! Any ideas anyone?
