Have just had a call from one of the other liveries to ask if my pony (fully clipped) is supposed to be out in his field naked....

...I turned him out in his lovely new Mark Todd rug this morning!!!

Other livery is very kindly fetching him in and putting his stable rug on, and has said she will have a quick look in the field for the rug. It will be dark by the time I get there so i don't stand much chance of finding it until tomorrow (by which time it probably will have blown away!)

OH has just admitted that he undid some of the buckles that he wasn't supposed to undo last night - and couldn't be bothered to do them back up, and forgot to tell me

I didn't notice this morning because I was in such a rush.

Please send positive vibes for the safe return of my lovely rug. It was my xmas pressie....I can't afford a new one and my back up one has gone AWOL.

If it is trashed I'd be asking OH to foot the bill for the repairs or a new one.

Mine has also managed to remove a rug (though left completely in tact!) and been stood out in near freezing temps in the pissing rain with a full clip!!

Just had a text to say both Pony and Rug have been rescued, pony is fine, and rug looks OK. Pony now in stable munching hay and probably very pleased with himself

The rug has both clips and buckles on the front - I only ever use the clips. OH undid the buckles, then realised he was actually meant to undo the clips, so he undid them as well and then couldn't be bothered to do the buckles back up

He also hung Murphy's soaked hay net at the back of his stable rather than at the front because it was easier, thereby soaking loads of his straw bed.

To be fair though, OH was ill yesterday and was doing me a favour by looking after Murphy.

OMG! At least they've found the rug! I always panic that something is really wrong if I get a phonecall from the yard - gets my adrenaline going!

I think OH should be made to do housework chores to make up for it - ill or not!

Don't worry - OH will suffer. I had sent him some very soecific instructions yesterday, which he refused to read - being a man he always knows best.

I did panic when I got the phone call!

Mine came in tonight with his rug hanging round his neck! He has never had a problem with his rug before - I think it is the wind!
