Sorry, but I'm so frustrated with everything at the moment and I need to let off some steam.

I had booked an arena about an hours drive away for some jumping practice and could I get my idiot horse to load without mucking about?

We eventually got him on and the idiot reared and managed to get on top of the tack locker as we were setting off - cue a massive panic and an upset horse bouncing about and refusing to get back into the lorry once we'd gotten him down.
My dad spent about an hour going back to basics with him so he's now trotting up the ramp quite happily. We decided to cancel our hire as it's just not worth Jerry getting himself in a state and hurting himself.

I'm just so disappointed that we didn't get to go :(

On top of that, i've scratched all the way along the side skirts of our new lorry and work seriously sucks right now.

Screw the diet - anyone want to join me for some Ben and Jerry's? (and possibly a horse burger?)

wow well done on the weight loss on a positive note! like the progress you made on your ticker!

just keep trying with horsey to load and unload, short journeys again to get him back used to travelling

really feel for you, not nice when they mess up your plans but hey at least the horse is ok! could be worse!

You need to get your horse used to loading so you really need to load your horse each day for two months to get him established.

I'm not taking him anywhere until he stops panicking - he throws himself about until we start moving and then he settles and goes to sleep.

We're going back to the beginning and just taking him on and then off again but before he decides to charge off down the ramp iykwim?
