Meg is seriously in season (first one of the year is always the worst and lasts forever it seems!!)
She has a new boyfriend in the field next door so is constantly drooling over the fence, well he drools she flirts! She flirts so much that she isn't really bothered by her tea.
BUT the problem has been with her rugs. As its been nice lately she has changed from MW to LW just over a week ago and then removed during the day and on at night. This means putting it on her at/after tea time! Cue 'piss off, Iam busy with bf' attitude. It has been a bit dicey shall we say even on a head collar!
SO tonight, no rug. She isn't clipped and has plenty of shelter. Bad mummy? OR maybe mummy that wants to live now!!! lol

She will be better when she starts work and then we won't know she is in season under saddle. I still love her!!

oh heck, was just talking about the 'first' season syndrome. My mare was a right pain last year, she and my friends mare had a bit of a girl lurv thing happening and they were a total pain. just for that first season thankfully. i am def going to start her on her Oestres this week. Not that it helps with the first mad season thing.
Hope your mare isn't a big frozen snotter in the morning

It might teach her to come and get her rugon tomorrow night though!
