On Sunday do I either;

A- Go to Bath Spa, with friends and relax in 'quiet' - (I've never been before, don't really know what to expect, but it sort of has been planned to do this)

Or

B- Go to Badminton ... XC day, busy, loud, lots of people (with same friends who are both Badders 'virgins', but both horsey to some degree) , take a picnic, still have fun, laughs ... got to avoid stepping in dog poo -which alone has put me off going for years, last went about 1995...

Both costs about the same, both roughly equal travel distance.

Would you be annoyed as a friend that a relaxing afternoon, gets swapped for a busy day?

You might be in a slightly biased environment to be asking that question !!

Badders every time for me - spa you can do any time Badders is only once a year, lovely weather forecast - even for the non horsey it's pretty impressive to watch.

How about ask your friend and see what the reaction is?

Ooh, that is a toughie!!
I would go to Badders as its only once a year and organise Bath Spa as a treat for later in the year :)

Errr, what sort of question is that??? Badders every time...

spa? Pah, what a question!

I know, I know... Us horsey folk do horsey things...:eek::D

I got so put off going because of everyone's darn dogs - or shall that be because of the dogs darn owners... Greenwich was, although busy, SO lovely without any dogs, I enjoyed it so much more!

I'm a dog lover, but it is the one thing that annoys me!

I had organised Bath Spa as a birthday treat to us, due to aches and pains thought it would be a nice change... but but, BUT!

Bath spa is nice (roof top pool is great :D) but...you can go any time. Badminton is only once a year, after all...

ETS: know what you mean about the dogs (got 3 Labs at home). I was at Gatcombe one year and someone's dog got loose and chased a horse on the XC course for a couple of jumps).

At Bramham someone let their dog jump in the water trough in one of the warm up rings on the XC day. There were still events going on, and I saw Pippa Funnell giving them a dirty look from the adjacent warm up ring :D
