Ariat boots & chaps

I was lucky enough to get ariat boots and close contact chaps for christmas, but i am finding that the bottom of the zip on the chaps (zip down back leg- zips "up") is rubbing on the boots. Has anybody else found this and what did you do to stop it? I don't want my boots ruined- the boots are already quite worn after only ridden a few times with them.

Ive got the same chaps and boots, although I havent noticed them rubbing (I'll probably go and look now and they will have

). The only problem I have is that the laces are falling apart and I'm waiting for the day they snap and I'll be stuck at a show with no boots

however I have had them since may.
Not sure what you can do unfortunatly, hopefully someone else will know

Why don't you try getting one of those felt pads that you get for the bottom of furniture to stop it scraping wooden floors and cut a wee bit off and stick to the bit of the zip that's rubbing? Not sure if it would work but the first thing that came to mind.

thanks for that. i will go and study them. in an ideal world and I was the designer I would have included a leather "flap" on the inside- i might take them to see my mum and see what the sewing guro can do!! haha! why didn't ariat think this through!!!!
