Boot wisdom required please!

I have a pair of brown ariat bromont boots, which I love for their suede inner calf panel, but don't love for the baggy ankle look. I'm in the market for long black boots for competing in, and am hoping I can find some with the suede but with a neater ankle... Is there such a boot out there?

Yours hopefully x

Likewise have the heritage contour. They don't have the suede panel and I think they're more expensive than the bromonts possibly but they are gorgeous.
Mine are 2 and a bit years old and have been worn daily, cleaned once or twice a week and still look really good - and no saggy ankles.

I have the Ariat Heritage Ellipse, not sure on the difference with the Contour? They're beautiful boots but again no suede insert so depends on how key that is for you?

I have the Ariat contour II and they are very comfortable and fit well on the leg. Mine were incredibly glossy and slippery for riding, so have to spray them with Sporty Haft spray.

Thank you all very much for your replies, and sorry for my tardy response - been tied up with work. The suede panel is really key for me. I've had shiny, slippery boots in the past and just can't go back :-/

Agree with you. I prefer boots eith a suede panel or at least non slippery boots. It's surprising that riding boots are designed for looks and not function.
