Hi all.
I am looking at getting some new riding boots.
I'm torn between the Ariat Quantum Devon Pro & the Bromonts.
Price wise there's not much difference but obviously if I go with quantum pro I'd need new chaps as well, however current pair are perfectly serviceable.
Tempted to go with the Bromonts, however went to try a pair on this morning and they were very high, lady in the shop said they fitted fine and would wear down. Looked on ebay at some 2nd hand pairs and they do in fact seem to wrinkle down- but also alot round the ankle as well as at the top. My question is how long do these boots last for before looking that worn & tired? I don't want to go spending alot of £ on them if after 6 months they're going to look knackered.
(I ride 3-4 times a week if it makes any difference)

Thankyou.

I love my Bromonts. They're very comfortable although I've not got a problem with the height of them as some seem to. I've had mine for about a month now so not as long as you've asked about.

These are mine after about 6 months use, I did have them shortened by my saddler for about £15.

I love Bromonts.

I have my pair that I've had for about 2 years, and have a pair in the lorry for competing. I've just ordered another pair in chocolate! The 2 year old pair are looking tired now, and the tab at the top with the popper on is starting to fray now, but considering I wear them for riding daily, mucking out and general yard work I think they've been great value for money.
