Ariat Bromonts - anyone else find they are 'baggy' around the ankle?

As title ^^^^

I have some MH Richmond long boots which fit my legs perfectly but are stiff, have refused to drop and cause excruiating pain if I have my stirrups at jumping length while wearing them so I am pondering the idea of investing in a nice brown pair of long boots for jumping (and keep my black MH's for dressage).

As I've always found Ariats mega comfy they are at the top of my list, especially now they are doing the Bromonts in the waxed chocolate now, but having tried some on today I was reminded why I went for the MH's in the first place as they seem way too baggy/loose around the ankle - I could literally get half as much ankle in again! :( :( :(

Anyone else find this or have I got odd shaped legs?

And if so either any solutions (do they do a slimmer fit?? Could a cobler tweak them??) or suggestions for scrummy brown leather, super comfy long boots for under around £250?
