I had intended to buy a pair of these long Ariat Bromonts from the US as £65 cheaper however Ive just been told the online store dont have them in my size!

Does anyone know any other online places, cheap as possible to get them from? I know Derby House do them for about £165 but DH arent exactly the cheapest IMO.

I have been Ariat price watching for a while now and Im afraid to say they are all much of a muchness

I have a pair and they are the best boots EVER!!!

I got a pair from my hubby that he got for 165.99 from rideaway but but the standard calf was very snug ( and i akways have issues as i have bif feet but very small ankles ) so they went back. I then got some from frogpool manors shop but when i got all the way home i realised they were damaged!.

I got mine from TDS who were the cheapest at 156.99! Very nice service and was able to track the deliervey throught a website with a number.

I wear mine for general riding and comps to as they are so smart.

This at a recent ODE on a friends pony wearing them

posting this as i know people were asking how they look for comps- and yes the suede is easy to clean too.

How warm are they? i'd love a pair but am a bit worried that come summer they would be too hot to wear.... and I cant afford to shell out for a summer version as well!!!

They are very padded up the leg and very warm great for winter but will def be to hot in the summer.

I will wear ariats and gaiter in the summer comps.

I needed the wide and i have very thin ankles so a med wide calf would never get into them- plus they are also fairly long in the leg.

So they have suede in the inside? I didnt notice that until I saw the pic on the TDS Saddlers site! Do they wear well, ie. will they last ages do you think?

I have Ariat jod boots and gaiters which I love but sadly one gaiters has popped a hole on the inside and the boots are looking a little worn. But my idea was to use the Bromonts for winter and any wet summer comps and then my old ones for warmer days (dont get many of those...!).

Ariat need to make a boot like this with a warm liner which comes out or something!

Oh and another question - would these suit BSJA and BE comps? ie. are there any rules about needing boots to be all leather (ie. no suede?)??

I got very excited about getting a pair of these for hunting in as they are so smart, and found them for £165. Unfortunately they are too big for me on the calf and they only do a regular and wide fitting, so back to square one.

Thanks DiesalDog - have emailed them.

Think Ill go measure my legs "fatness" to check which fitting I need. I assume Im pretty normal so hadnt even thought about it! I fit into small Ariat gaiters?

I wear small long Ariat Classic chaps and the standard calf on the Bromonts is perfect on me if that helps?!

I absolutely adore mine

I found them very snug.I have slim ankles and big feet ( a nighmare combination ) and whilst the regs did up they felt a bit snig and as the bot was long i knew it wouldnt drop at the ankle if it was too tight. Plus i didnt want to zip to go if they were too snug.

I would never have thought the standards wouldnt fit me, as you can see from my above pictures on the 14.2 pony whislt im no midgit im hardly an elephant.

Have found these cheapest so far (with a freebie!):

$249.95 = £119.54 + free Ariat vest

Have emailed them just to check my size is in stock - apparently I seem to have big feet (US size 10, UK size 7) as a lot of other places have said they dont stock my size! How embarassing...

Does anyone know the sizing of the regular and wide widths? Cant find it anywhere - have looked at the Ariat chart but seems to only cover gaiters and some other odd sizing...?

I've tried a pair on and the calf fitting was snug but just as you would expect from a new pair of boots. If its any help I've just measured my calf round the fattest part when sitting down and it was 14 1/2". That was for a pair of size 5 boots but I'm a 4 - 4 1/2 and the foot part of the boots were too big.

I'm just waiting for a pair of these to be delivered from America, I thought they were a bargain saving £65 but I've just found out I have to pay £50 in customs charges so not such a bargain after all!!!!

I think I got mine from TDS... came to about £161 including p&p which was the cheapest I could find. Looked at the US site with the free vest but they didn't appear to deliver overseas. My mum paid for most of it though as a special present!

I've got quite long legs and I'm slim, I found the size 6 regulars to be a nice snug fit but I wouldn't want them any longer as they sat very high on my leg.

I absolutely ADORE mine, they are comfortable, really warm and they look fab. I wear them on the yards but I clean them every night when I get home (long may that last LOL). They aren't amazinly waterproof, after an hour or two running around the indoor school on the damp sand, I can feel it through the boots. But then i've yet to find a yard boot that is 100% waterproof on a sand surface...
