Ariat Bromonts - do they drop?!

I finally got my pair of Ariat Bromonts (long ones) last week and have been wearing them round the house and yard to try and wear them in so I can compete in them on Sunday. They are very long for me so Im assuming they'll drop as leather boots generally do. However, how much do they? Im worrying they wont drop enough

I've had some since November and hate to say this but they haven't dropped at all! Maybe it depends how tightly they fit(mine are quite tight) but I think that the suede inner and slight padding would stop them from dropping. I don't do up the popper for jumping but mine are a good length for flatwork. I have got long legs though, perhaps you should send them back??
 
I hate to say this to. But mine havent dropped either i had them at X-mas & i have done a lot of riding in them now & there still the same as when i bought them. They are long in the leg but there a lovely fit on me.

I like them so much im going to get another pair.
 
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! God damn it! I think they'd *possibly* be ok if I rode very long for dressage but since I mainly SJ and event then I might cry! I bought them purely to compete in. Bloody hell, Ive waited 6 weeks for these boots (they were out of stock everywhere). Guess Ill have to try wearing them with the back zip down a bit. But they're too far up the front of my knee even to walk about in. They're a perfect fit round my calf too.

Mine havent dropped either but im JUST tall enought to get away with it.

I think calvelo is right as they are padded they dont drop.

The only thing is say is if you really like them then id be inclined to chop off the popper as even if i dont do mine up the zips stay put ( had mine since they were realeased in sept ).

They are such lovely boots if there is any signs they will be discontinued im buying a 2nd pair!
 
Arghh! I've got some and have the same problem, lady in the shop said they would drop. Wouldn't mind but i am 5ft 7 so not exactly short. I end up wearing them with the top unzipped and unclipped.
 
Sorry to OP but YAY, they dont drop! I have just ordered mine and was worried they wouldnt long enough to start with, then drop and be even shorter!! I have the MT chap size and thats only just long enough!!!
Cant wait for mine to arrive!!
