Got my bromonts today and they're a bit long for my (apparently!) short calves. What can I do to get them to give at the ankle and shrink a bit?!

If I sit they catch on the backs of my thighs, and if I stand with my knees straight, they touch my knee caps! They're the first pair of long boots I've ever bought brand new.

I have just bought a pair too. Mine are also a bit long in the leg for me.
I am riding in them slightly undone at the minute until they drop and Ariat are sending me some heal risers so that should help until they drop.

How much are the heel raisers? Did you just ring up for them? I actually have a pair which I was given with my western boots (also Ariat) but they're a good 3.5hrs away at home and I'm away at uni for the next 4 weeks! With said boots!

They give you the heel risers free. They really make the difference for the first couple of weeks. The front of your feet will feel a bit tight though as it raises your feet up inside the boot

Think I'll give them a ring tomorrow, it may mean the difference between riding in them and just walking round the house in them. Shouldn't be too bad at the front as they're a little big anyway (wasn't sure whether the 6s would be a little tight and the next size up were 7s), can't wait to start riding in them, next time will be weds though which a 45min jump lesson probably isn't the best time to try them out on a horse this soon!
