I have the Ariat tall (without the laces). I love them!
I have always hated riding in wellies, but these are totally different, i wear them for all yard work and riding and will def. get another pair when they need replacing!

Woo! You've basically answered my question.

I was really just wondering if people were riding in them or finding them only really suitable for hanging around the yard in.

I really really suffer from cold feet and adore the look of these boots but cant afford to buy them just to wander around in and need a different (new) pair to then ride in.

Thanks for your time!

Hiya, I have them too and I love them!! Only thing I would say is they arnt the comfiest boots to ride in (most of the time I do anyway!) as they are quite think in the leg and also the heel drops so they dont offer much support. I had the same problem as Heidi1 with the lace (well the little plastic bit which holds the lace) snapping. On the plus side they keep my feet soooo warm, they are water proof and everywhere I go people comment on them.

I have issues with Ariat - bought a pair of paddock boots - 3 months [and light use] later the soles cracked and fell apart. They sent me a replacement pair which went at the sides 9 months later.

They get maybe 12 hours use a week - hardly heavy wear!!
One tack shop coughed politely and said it was a common problem. Will never buy Ariat again .
