I'm thinking of treating myself to a pair, so does anyone have any comments about them? What are they like to ride in, are they worth it etc? As it's a lot of money and i don't want them falling apart as soon as i buy them.

Yes, yes yes - buy them buy them buy them. I've had mine for 4 years and absolutely love them. Haven't had a horse for all of the 4 years so haven't had every day hard wear if you see what I mean but have had plenty of wear. Worth every penny IMO. The only thing that has kept my feet warm (well less cold) this winter and I think they're great to ride in. If ever needed to replace them, would buy another pair.

they're wonderful, very warm, as comfy as slippers. the only thing is that they're loose on the calves, which some people don't like for riding in. I don't mind it, can school fine in them, but it's just something to consider.
somehow they are toasty warm in winter and cool in summer, no idea how they do that! the only boots ever that have kept my toes toasty.

would HIGHLY recommend. Loads of people at our yard have had or have them, quite a few are on their second pair. They are TOTALLY waterproof and have lasted brilliantly and i am really hard on boots and don't look after them.

Totally YES. Only down side is i haven't looked after mine at all and i have some slight cracks in them one of which now leaks but i have abused them!! :D

I love mine and they're not loose on my calves - but I'm a MUCH bigger girl than kerilli! I just lace mine up as tight as possible until they are a snug fit. I have them on at the moment as my husband isn't home and although I'm in a room with heating my feet are snuggy warm:D

I love mine! :D Have only had mine since April but they look quite new and I've worn them everyday. Very comfy and warm, I find them comfortable to ride in, and they're very waterproof and easy to clean up.

YES buy them :)

I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago when the cold snap started! Toasty feet whilst walking the dog...haven't ridden in them yet but they are nice and supple, especially around the ankle. Regular width Ariat leather boots (Bromont etc) are too tight, but full widths are too big so the Grasmeres are ideal for me. Have a look on ebay, I bought mine for £170 new but the wrong size for the seller. Still a lot of money but a hell of a saving off the original price.

I am a size 6, so bought a size 6 in Ariats, they are roomy with thin socks...however as these are now my winter boot...they fit very snug with another pair of thicker socks too :)

Best tip: Get yourself to a shoe shop and buy an extra long shoe horn to get them on, as they are a bit awkward to begin with!

Also I want to get some stuff to look after them properly...what do other people use?

So i can muck out in them and the stitching won't rot?

Can't comment on that as I am too scared to wear them mucking out :)
However my friend works on a large race yard, mucking out every day etc. She lives in her grasmeres...never looks after them...and 4 years on they look tatty but are still going strong.

Mine have been worn daily for about 5 years or more. I have mucked out, tramped through mud, water and muck heaps in them. They are still going strong and never leak. Warm in winter, cool in summer and so comfy, I can wear them from early morning til late at night and forget I have them on.
Get them, money well spent, I love mine.
