Anyone tried both? Have had several pairs of the Tyne muckboots, but sick of them splitting! Do the Ariats keep your feet warm like the Tyne? Thanks!

I love my Ariat mudbusters!!! They are the first pair of wellies that haven't split on me after 1-3 wearing like other wellies (including Hunter). I have worn them everyday since I got them at the beginning of October and I wore them with two pairs of socks when we had all that snow and ice and my feet were warm. I didn't slip on the ice either in them!

I definitely would buy another pair.

Couldn't agree more:) I love my Ariat Mudbusters, and they do keep your feet alot warmer than other wellies....and I have the coldest feet ever.

I've got a pair of muck boots and a pair of mudbusters, much prefer the mudbusters, they keep my feet warm and dry, and well supported! Also mudbusters were best on test in Your horse (I think) this month! :)

The Mudbusters are very wide in the calf. I had to send mine back & got some Tyne MBs instead. I've had mine a year now & didn't need extra socks during the snow, they haven't split yet, but I didn't wear them in summer as they're too cosy!

I'm going to throw a spanner in the works! I have both and find that the Mudbusters, while warmer than hunter type wellies, are nowhere near as warm as Muck boots. I'm currently using Just Togs Mudrucker boots, which so far have lasted longer than the four pairs of muck boots I've had!

My most favourite wellies though have to be Le Chameau, even the ones without the neoprene lining were fairly warm, and very comfy!

Muck boots without a doubt, never had a prob with them splitting and find them so comfy and warm for my horribly cold feet! I prefer the narrower leg with my spindly calves, perhaps if you prefer a more spacious cut the ariats would be better and poss save the splitting prob?

Have never tried the Ariats - but love the Tyne Muck Boots. However, I too have had the same problem with them splitting. A pair only last me one winter and then I have to replace them. This year, I actually found a pair of HKM brand riding style muck boots and at £35 were half the price of the Tynes, so I thought "why not give them a try instead?" and - so far so good. Kept my feet comfortable through all the recent snow and ice (and with only 1 pair of socks). Even if these, too, only last one winter, I've only paid half the price, so I figure I'll buy the HKMs again.

If you have a high instep like I do, the Ariats are better as well. I was going to buy some Muck boots but couldn't get my foot into 7,8 or 9 (I'm an 7 1/2- 8) as the foot arch is made much too low.

I don't have wide calves but I like the roomy calves on Ariats as I can tuck my jeans into them.

I have both, buying the Ariats as I too was sick of my muck boots splitting but Ive put the Ariats away for summer! They arent Neoprene lined and theres no way they would keep my freezing feet warm, so Ive just bought another pair of Tynes. Lovely warm feet again. Lets see how long this pair last :(
