Thoughts please? Need a new pair of yard boots, need to be able to cope with muddy gateways, up to the ankle, very wet grass which can be a bit slippy and all the general wintery stuff. Dont need to ride in them so not a consideration. Reading the blurb on the website they sound perfect but does anyone have any experience of wearing them through a winter please.

I have these and they are good boots, although I have to tuck my jeans or jods into my socks when wearing them, as my socks walk off in them otherwise! I also like Le Chameau wellies.

I recently tried a pair of these on and they were relatively comfy and seemed pretty strong.

However they just didn't compare to a pair of le chemaeu wellies I tried on and so even though they were £100 dearer, I still bought them

I'd see if you could try some on somewhere, I was determined not to replace my hunters so tried a few on at badminton, the ariats seemed ok but really heavy and clumpy in comparision. so am undecided now as I am now getting wet feet!

I need new wellies, (as I throw 2 hunters in the bin) and was thinking of Ariats. Do they come up big? My ariat grassmeres I had to go down half a size.

Mine havent come up as big as my ariat jod boots. I have the heritage ones with a zip, and I am a 6 in them, I got a 7 in the wellies, and there is plenty of room for more than one pair of socks, but im not slopping around in them :)

I love mine! I got mine from Townfields on sale this Saturday past and so far, they are lasting (whereas other wellies, start to crumble away in 1- 3 days). I do hose them off though just in case it's the horse poo that eats away at the rubber. They are really supportive for my back and bad hip just like my Ariat paddock boots and riding boots and so far my feet have been warm even with all the rain Leicestershire has been having.

I'm normally a size 8 in normal shoes and a medium/wide fit with a high instep and took the 7 1/s's in the wellies and they are comfy with plenty of room for thicker socks. I take 7 1/2's in the Ariat Heritage paddock boots and a 8 1/2 in my Ariat Heritage Field Boots.

Ive had mine a couple of years now...they are far sturdier than 'normal' wellies and have great grip/traction for muddy paths and gateways. I have ridden in mine and they were fine but I'd rather swap into proper riding boots anyway.

I would have another pair, put it that way:D

They're very wide around the top & were too wide infact for me so I sent them back. Instead I got some Tyne Muck Boots & although not very glamorous they've been great & are very cosy - no need for extra socks.

I must have big calves , mine came yesterday and fit snug. There was only 5.5 left when I ordered and I thought being Ariats they would come up big, Im normally a small 6 but they again are snug.
Lady on yards split and shes betting me her hunter balmorals outlast them, so we shall see :)
Seem well made and are comfy, thanks for the link to Townfield :D
