Help please! My mom and dad have agreed to buy me a pair of long boots for christmas, and i'm now searching for the best deal. I did have my heart set on a pair of brogini 2000 as they have different fits. I have short legs with fat calfs and normal long riding boots are too skinny and too long. I rang one company this morning as i need to go try them on rather than order them over the internet and they suggested the ariat bromonts instead. I have googled these and a lot of the comments that have come back are that they are no good for short legs and they dig in behind the knee. So what do you suggest (i know the broginis come in shorter lengths) and also do you know anywhere near somerset that sells them. The only place i can find so far is in west sussex! and any one managed to get a bargain? Thankies

I have Broginis - I'm 5'3 and currently have heel risers in them to stop them digging in (although I am still breaking them in). They are really nice smart boots, but the leather doesn't seem to soften very quickly - any tips welcome!

I have the ariat bromonts and im 5'7 and they still do dig in a little behind the knee when just sitting normally but they are fine when riding and just walking around

I have the same calves as you! I was once told to try childs length - lol. I tried lots of boots but found the mountain horse Richmond high rider were the best fit and also look the best on me Leather is really soft. The supreme high rider have just come out and I love the look of those. I'd definately have a look at these boot before you decide. (I have the heel lifters in at first)

Def go for the broginis, i got their cheaper version, they have broken in perfectly and fit like a glove, definately worth trying
