Arnt babies funny sometimes..........

My baby pony Bella (who is now 7 and a bit months old) is a really good and nice person to have about the yard. She is weaned of mum, is good to handle, brush, lead, tie up, good for the farrier, rug, she has tried on brushing boots and even travel boots when my grown up horse had been out at a party!!

So today she was in her stable whilst I pulled said grown up horses mane outside. She watched and although Lilly is good to have her mane done, she doesnt love it and was a bit "tall" and fidgety by the time I had finished.

I didnt think anything of it until I went into bellas stable who flately refused to let me touch her mane!! She normally loves having her mane brushed (i have never pulled it or anything like that) and there was no chance she would let me near it!!! I could touch her but not her mane!! I had to put her headcoller on to get near her and there was considerable jumping away, mini rearing and general rebelion about the idea!! After about 2 mins she realised I didnt want to pull her mane out and stood all happy letting me brush it and put mane and tail spray in.

I just thought it was funny she was bright enough to see Lill having hers done and then put 2 & 2 together about it!!

Proof I can touch her mane normally lol....

They are funny arn't they, and extremely observant, i've got a 6 month old filly who watches and learns from her aunty and mum, never ceases to amaze me the things she does which I know she could have only learnt from them, always makes me smile (even though she gave me a fat lip yesterday !) )
