Hi Ive used Camrosa on mud fever with excellent results. If scabs have formed clean with warm water and something like Hibisrub ( weak solution) then thin film over all the scabs with Camrosa. I did this maybe every 3days and the scabs come away gradually without causing to much discomfort. Don't pick at the scabs but wait until they come away easily. A thin coating once the scabs have all gone will protect the sensitive skin. Never brush legs and feet with a brush as this scratches chapped skin and allows the bacteria to get in. If you use something like pig oil regularly then mud can be hosed off without brushing.
Big, big fan of aroma heel. Great stuff - my previous horse had one bad bout of mud fever and this was the only stuff that worked for us. It was also used to plug a hoof abscess later on and worked a treat. Have also used it on minor cuts as it is thick enough to spread on and keep grit and muck out. Always keep a pot handy. Oh, and it smells lovely too
