Was at the yard the other day and someone said around the worlld is no longer allowed is this true????
anything else been banned?

i always do around the world..
its probably because as you go round you dont have control of the horse, so it could take off while you were doing it..
i always had somebody standing at the head.. or only do it on a pony i trust!!

i agree when i do it in lesssons i always have leaders to hold the ponies surely that would be obvious????

Im sure Around The World used to happen many moons ago. I used to do it all the time in the riding lessons, but I always had somone holding the horse, even though I wasnt on lead rein.

I always used to do round the world on my old boy - use to be quite nimble at it. Not impressed when he got bored and wandered off to eat the grass just as I was facing his tail. My friends were rolling about laughing to stop him! He was as safe as houses.

Wouldn't do it on my spooky horse tho. I agree, think H&S is going too far.

Oh this has made me roflao. Reminded me of friend n me doing Round the World on our horses (both about 15.2hh), and us to not too fit. Horses were amused!

Used to do it as a child, but don't remember anyone holding on. Also did the splits(?). Oh, was so much fitter and stronger in those days!
