Anyone else have this problem & how do I solve it??!! (No don't say get rid of the mousers!) The horses beds have become giant cat litter trays which is pretty grim especially if they lie in it :( Two kittens have moved in of their own accord (which my 2 cats are scared of!) and I think they are the culprits. Any ideas how I can stop them toileting in horses beds?

naughty kittens!!!!
put a dog in there?! :o
or - put the poop in a certain area where you would prefer they went, such as a certain part of the muck heap so it smells like a cat toilet there. are they tame? (im guessing not)
you could put some litter trays in the stables in the hope they use those, then move them outside the stable, then to the muck heap. (Personally, I would probably start outside in the hope they used them there) if they dont use them put something they have soiled in the tray.
shoo them out of the stables everytime you see them there.
I had some kittens that when they got old enough to cause havoc in the house they were moved to a stable so I was worried they would end up with this problem but when two of them moved to a yard we shooed them out of the stables everytime they went in there and they never did anything nasty! (but they had a litter tray and were shut in when they moved there, as with tame cats!which probably helped)
how small are they? if they are under 4-6 months they wouldnt be able to jump over stable doors so keep them shut. if they are little they are being falsley accused!!
rambled abit, sorry!

Im guessing 6-8 wks, very small & very hungry :( They do get shoo'ed but obvs go in when we're not around! Unfortunately they're not conventional stables but field shelter stables so have gates across front. I have taken to feeding them cos felt sorry for them but being un-tame its abit difficult to shut them in somewhere with a litter tray! Will try the litter tray + poo somewhere to see if they use it though. Thanks!
