My young horse has recently been diagnosed with hock arthiritis (both hocks) been given steroid injections and is back in work, mainly hacking.Looking for a good supplement to help with pain, inflammation and helping the damage or stopping it from deteriorating. Is there a supplement that doesnt need to be given every day?

My (much older) horse is responding to the Equine America supplement with Super Fenn, but it is added every day. I have tried many supplements and not come across one which isn't fed daily, they seems generally palatable and can be added to a small feed - I used Allen & Page Fast fibre as it hides the powder esily.

Mine has hock arthritis, he's on Yumove equine joint supplement and also recently started him on Dodson & Horrell mobility liquid also. He has both daily in a scoop of Simple Systems lucie stalks

i tried cortaflex with mine, but then had to switch to a generic glucosamine due to budget issues, and found the glucosamine actually suits him better and its way cheaper.

Synequin worked wonders on one of ours, it is normally fed every other day once you are past the 'loading' stage and are just feeding for maintenance. If I remember correctly it is a prescription medicine though and will be very expensive unless covered by your insurance.

Thank you.Mine is still happily galloping about in the field, just a bit stiff and reluctant to move forward at times but want to see if he is even better given a supplement so will buy something this week for him.
