Arthoscopy on Front Fetlock

Hi All,

i am just wondering if any of you have had tou horse in for the arthoscopy surgery on fetlocks or otherwise how much was it and what was the outcome?

My horse has had the injections and is on and off sound depending on the work load...so Leahurst in liverpool are contemplating surgery.

my mare had an arthroscopy on both stifles a few months ago. had the injections like yours prior to that but no effect whatsoever.
since the arthroscopy she had 5 weeks box rest, then a revisit from the vet but still moves exactly the same.
I think the bilateral surgery was 3000, so i guess 1500 if just on one joint. I'd say if your insurance will pay for it then its worth a shot, and i dont regret doing mine even though it doest seem to have made a difference in my case - at least i know i tried!
