We had a hock injected in January. Definite improvement - much greater improvement than with the steroids used previously.
He hasn't been worked hard since for obvious reasons but he's looking and feeling fantastic.

Thank you! I’m at my wits end at the moment. My boy is 23, on X-ray hocks have fused but he’s still VERY sore on flexion. He’s had cortisone injections and more recently Osphos to help settle things. He’s also getting 2 danilon a day as per vet. If he’s no better end of March he may have to be PTS. I’m absolutely devastated and would try anything to help him ?
Obviously his welfare comes first though!
 
I'm a big fan. Have it used on hocks (one horse) and hocks + front coffins (another horse) with excellent results, better than steroid.

My horses were not as sore as yours sounds to be, though. I don't know how well it works in more advanced cases.

Thank you, likely not an option but just wanted to read up on everything available.

I'd agree with this. Our boy has had 3 steroid injections at 6 months apart. They were getting decreasingly effective so he had a 4th one in December to reduce the inflammation and then the arthramid in January. He is 10 years younger than your lad though , and still fit and hunting. He's not unsound without the injections, just more comfortable with them

My Connie who is almost 13 has hock arthritis and is currently having Cartrophen every 12 weeks. Next port of call is the Arthramid rather than steroid due to laminitis so interested in how it works for other people. It’s expensive but if it works it will be worth it.
 
I've used it for a 19yr old mare with front fetlock arthritis and it worked very well, I'd recommend it, the horse is now sound and in work with no other drugs, just a normal joint supplement.
