Arthritis?

My dog has started licking his front legs every now and then. Its usually after he's had a runabout or play fight with his son. He will suddenly stop and start licking at the joint near the top. Do you think this could be a sign of achey joints and is there anything I can give him that may help.
He is a 10 yr old JRT and is otherwise fit and well.

If it was a joint problem I would expect some lameness. As a preventative measure you could give him a joint supplement. Maybe have a word with your vet and see if he has any recommends.
