Read in the paper today that a gypsy was up in court this week as he drove his horse and trap through a red light and also went the wrong way up a one way street...His defence ? it was the horses fault they ran the light as he is colour blind !
 
I used to have a gelding that had worked as a driver in Blackpool. He understood traffic lights and would refuse to go through red lights, even if they were round roadworks and you could see for miles that there was nothing coming.
Perhaps that was what the defendant was more used to?
