Since leaving the pony club 6 years ago I feel as if my riding ability has been on the decline, even more so when I moved my horse from the competition yard she was at 9 months ago. My horse has been on full loan since the start of feb so I haven't been doing much riding at all, even though I can ride my horse anytime I like over the weekends and holidays and been oferd friends and relatives horses to ride.

I think it would be good for me to get riding lessons at a riding school, I could always havel lessons on friends horses but all the horses I've been oferd to ride are very cheeky and while I dont mind that, it's hard to concentrate on your way of going! I also could have lessons on my horse but she's at a college and used in the school all week so when I ride we go for a hack.

The closest riding school to me is Arundel Riding Centre....does anyone have any experiences of it?
From what I gather you have to have a private riding assesment before you can go into the group lessons?

I've not been there for about 3 years but I had some lessons there - their prices aren't/weren't madly high and the instructors were really nice and knowledgable. After a few private lessons they can move you into the group lessons. I seem to remember that if you pay montly by DD you actually get a really good price for the lessons.

Give them a ring have a chat with them?

Good luck.
Helen
