as the title says people!

favourite local: Topthorn Arena, 20mins away easy to park and always something going on whether it's organised by them or others.

further afield: Black Water Farm, Gt Witchenham (sp) such variety as starts in different places etc makes it stand out from others where you do the same/similar course no matter what the event.

We are an hour from Topthorn and went in November before the weather turned really bad! I really liked it......car park was a bit unorganised (was a tues BSJA show) and we had to squeeze in a tiny gap but other than that i thought it was nice, and the people were really helpful and friendly too. We are only 15 mins from Wix EC but their affilliated shows are getting ever so quiet!

Forest Edge, such a lovely venue for SJ and dressage. It's so light and the surface is fantastic.

XC, then there's Blackwater (we're 20 minutes away, so know it inside out!) and Burnham Market is good too. Ely Eventing Centre is my favourite though, nice range of fences and they're all well maintained.

Well we are 45 mins from Topthorn... nice venue, nice people.

1 hour 45 from Forest Edge...again great atmosphere but lorry park too far from school which is a problem if you have a knobber on board !

1 hour from Nick Moon - Finchingfield EC... BRILLIANT place and Nick is a superb showjump trainer

1 hour 15 mins from Ely EC - again - love it there !

1 hour 45 from Keysoe - fab place

30 mins from Boyton Hall... another great little venue

Haven't tried Boyton Hall yet.......thats next on my list!

I have to say Great Witchingham as Bear lives there!

Looks like this will be a good place for sharing local knowledge.

Keysoe without a doubt :)
Bury Farm and Addington are both 20 minutes. Liscombe for baby horses.
Ditto SC on the food at Addington and Keysoe. Egg and bacon rolls to die for and tea with proper milk.

I have a baby super cob and am hoping to go CR at Topthorn soon. Many mayn years since I competed, but worth it for the cheesy chips!!! And it is 15 mins down the road!!

Keysoe :) And Brook Farm for dressage which I guess counts as greater london :p
Norton Heath is my local and is nice in the summer :)
