Somewhile ago I posted pics of my horse's feet after his shoes were removed (removed as he was being roughed off and going on his hols) and someone requested that I put photos up after the hols were over :)

After a long break of 3 months in the field (which isn't the best for feet as was wet but had some stoney areas) he has moved back up to his stable/yard and will be getting shoes back on in 7 days.
These were just after getting shoes off:

Obviously not the best type of ground for foot growth, but what do you think? :)
 
im no expert on feet but they look pretty good to me. seems a shame to put shoes on as feet look so nice and in good condition. my horse had some time off a couple of years ago and i had the hinds removed, her feet were really good and i tried to keep the hind shoes off but once i started riding every day she bcame footsore so i ended up having shoes on again. have you thought of trying yours without?
 
Hi. Thanks for posting, i requested pics. Can't guage much from the new pics, but from what i can see they definately look no worse than when shod. Can you match them up for me? The mud and different camera angles make it difficult to work out what is what. Is the 'pre' second pic right (fore?) hoof on the 'after' shots? Thats an interesting hoof, and i don't think there is an after shot? I may be wrong/blind though :D.

No, going to put shoes on as I do a lot of roadwork & the ground here really dosen't suit shoeless horses, plus the fact that I use studs :)
