We've had a few more rides starting off on the lead rein to stop her bolting at the end of the drive, reducing the time on it, and today...

We went with no lead rein and no whip!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

She is now behaving like a model pony and even likes to stride out in front half way round and lead home

She has however managed to split one of her shoes in front, and the farrier didn't turn up yesterday so hopefully he comes tomorrow since she really needs it!

Jumping next... ;)

Have some pictures of the little monkey :)

Aww that is brilliant to read! It's all coming together nicely! I knew it would :) Takes a bit of patience and a 'strong like bull' attitude :D

Really pleased for you :) She is a gorgeous mare and lucky to have you spending time with her :)

She'll be 'angel' pony in no time :D

May I ask where you got that pony?

She either has an asbo twin, or she has previously lived with me :)

p.s. If she is the same marey that lived with me, I will pre warn you.. don't stand behind her for too long ;):D

I was like :D all the way round haha!

Definitely easier to find her a good home now :)
I want to keep her though, need to win the lottery! :(

Ooh that's a bit spooky Jackson!
Although I don't think yours has quite the afro that ours does :D And Megan is fine with you behind her haha!

What was your one's name? :p

:D
She was an afro-pony, but my gelding got mane munchies

I'm not 100% on her name, as she was owned by a non-horsey man who lent her to us for company for my gelding, but after we sold the field on, he was left with no where to keep her.

She was a nice little mare though. I think that she broke someones leg before she came to us, but she was a baby and soon got used to us poking and prodding her, lol.

What's Megan's story?

Lol, naughty boy!
That's a shame you couldn't keep her!

We're not 100% sure either. We're a rescue centre, and were sort of a last resort for sorting her out!
We know she used to do a lot of gymkhana, think a bit too much and it sort of broke her and she decided she didn't want to play with humans anymore so most likely she was passed about a bit :(
At some point she ended up at a riding school where she wreaked havoc until all the children were too scared to ride her :o lol! I think one of our volunteers knows the riding school and suggested she came to us.

Then she came to us a few months ago, but I'm at uni in Dundee now and can only go when I'm back home on holidays. I'm the only one light enough that was up for riding her so has been a bit of a battle of wills the past few weeks but everyone enjoyed themselves today :D

She really needs a home, since I am hardly ever there now and she is a bit wasted, but obviously noone wants a naughty teenage pony, but hopefully when I'm finished she will be a much more suitable candidate :)
