thinking of going to the next ascot sales with the possibility of buying something to bring on over the winter.I have bought some nice horses from there before just wondered if any one else had??

It's at the beginning of November isn't it? If so I'm thinking of going along, but have never bought from a sale so could well chicken out!

A certain event rider buys a couple from nearly every sale. I still maintain ex-racers make good eventers. Seen some nice stuff from Ascot but remember buyer beware!

Opinions are like bum holes, everyone has one.
We went to last one and friend picked up a nice 7yo for £2k.
They were interested in 10 and only 3 of them met criteria after being trotted up and checked over. We prefer those who have not made the racecourse. The 7yo they bought had never been raced and has been really good so far.

Had some lovely horses from there and even better ones from Doncaster, Did buy one that didn't really work out though and took a long time to get right (Mental and physically)
Really think you need to know what you are looking at as have to make decisions quickly but I would buy from there again for sure.
