There was an earlier thread about a horse competing at ascott ridden by Chris king that was initially entered HC then allowed to win its PN class even though it had apparerntly won three PN previously one of which was a PN regional final.
Clearly a PN regional only counts as a regular PN in which case the connections are obliged to compete properly as the rules do state that a horse may not compete HC in any class that it is entitled to run in competitively. Therefore though the connections of this horse were at fault for the original entry being incorrect, they were entitled to take part, UNLESS the PNRF was actually a NOVICE class ( as per the Nov regionals which are Intermidiate Nov levelm, the Intermidate champs are advanced and so on).
Perhaps someone would like to call or email BE and ask them before this happens again. I am sure many people will say its only a PN but I am sure those who were second would much rather have won!!
As a quite amusing aside, i think it was an error in the entries of exactly this nature (because the stature of a NRF had not been clarified) though at a higher level that disqualified Cressie Claugue Reading from winning the Nov Champ and gave the prize to.....Chris King!!
