Ashbrook or Leahurst?

My horse needs treatment for squamous cell carcinoma. What is people’s opinions on ashbrook or Leahurst please ? Thanks

I have never used Ashbrook but have heard good things about them. I have had one experience of leahurst and it wasnt great from a service point of view or after service

Leahurst are my practice and I have used the hospital for well over 20 years. They did a squamous cell carcinoma for me in 2012- they gave me the options and I chose the partial phallectomy.

My horse is in Leahurst at the moment and I have been very impressed. I have found the vets very friendly and informative and the vet students also very friendly and good with my horse.

I think Leahurst have a few more "names" in the equine veterinary world than Ashbrook, but I haven't any experience of Ashbrook as a hospital. My understanding is that it is a much smaller outfit, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Leahurst were amazing when my boy had Colic surgery. They looked after both of us so well.

I would highly recommend Leahurst - both of ours have been treated there at various times and have received excellent care.
