ashleighs first BSJA report

ashleigh did her first BSJA show on sunday,entered the BN & towerlands 95cm novice classes..warmed him up in the outdoor arena as inside was a tad mental to say the least and he bucks in canter so didnt want to risk him kicking another horse in the chops! went into the ring, jumped a lovely clear over the first phase,got to the first fence in the jump off and just as he was about to take off he tripped crashed through the jump and catapalted ash straight over his head! ash then ummed and arred whether to do the next class. i told her to just go in jump a few and retire if she wanted to..of she goes and keeps going..and going..just clipped the planks, got to the last double,otto backed right off..then threw himself over it,,ash is on his neck 'saying oh no not again! (which got a laugh out of the spectators) jumped the second part still on his neck! got a round of applause for staying on...otto then came back to a walk through the finish as he realised that she shouldnt be where she was lol..

we both cried laughing when we saw this one (first part of the last double) neither her or him would look out of place on a thewell poster!! lol

we are back at towerlands on saturday and sunday..see if she can stay on him this time lol..thats the first time she has fell off him in the ring..typical,....but looking at the video, i dont think anyone would have a stayed on!

rambo,thats what i said to her,at least she made the jump off,there were other horses there getting eliminated at the 2nd fence! the second class was messy as i think she was worried about him tripping again but she only got 4 faults in that so not a bad first show really...onwards and upwards eh!
