Can anyone advise as to whether this is generally a nice easy track? The XC looks good in the course photos. Vaguely considering their unaffiliated (would this mean it's a little more straight forward?) as our first 90.

By then horse would have done 3 events at 80. Jumping confidently round 85cm SJ out competing and 90cm SJ at home. I like the idea of Aston as our first 90 because it's on a surface, which is a mind thing for me as I just prefer not having to worry about slipping/ground to add to my fears.

Would it be totally mad to consider it? Horse finds 80cm SJ totally easy and XC as well but it just seems like a very big step up.

It will be around the same course as used for the affiliated classes which are run earlier in the week. Having said that, the course is straight forwards and the land totally flat. Both D & SJ on a surface.

My new hunter went round the unaff 90 as his first ever event at the start of the season and went clear but with loads of time penalties XC as was gawping at everything around him. Don't see too many cars by the hedges in the hunting field or ice cream vans or ambulances for that matter either!

I'm doing the 80 on the 14th.

The dressage and Showjumping is on surface, XC on the grass.

They are honest with their heights, but they are generally nice tracks
 
Can advise on that course, but would just say that I would aim to be jumping 1m at home at least before doing a 90.

You sound more than ready, more so you know you both can :)
 
Eeeek not sure about a metre. We probably could pop a single metre fence happily. In fact we definitely could it's just me, pony has loose jumped 1.25 with ease I'm just an idiot!
