Keeping it short as don't want to bore; but went with the aim of not getting eliminated in any phase and ideally finishing sub 100...
DR: Having to have a 10 minute hack to the dressage definitely did not help, particularly as it was straight along the xc course. Needless to say we didn't settle and did a fairly poor test for 45. But, all problems easily remedied so not too worried.
SJ: Poles falling all over place (person before me only left 2 fences up in total) and SJ is nowhere near our forte so we had a very big aim of not getting eliminated. Normally we just lose it and get very stressed but today we were much more settled (despite the warmup) and although we had lots of poles down (4?) I was really pleased as that was the first course we have jumped at the height. We had one stop as I was so pleased to find an upright not on a related distance that I took my leg off and didn't ride it so unsurprisingly she thought we'd finished and then stopped. Completely my fault! So ended on the lovely score of 25 SJ penalties. But to be fair, neither of us have gone at that level before and if I had ridden properly it would only have been 16 penalties and considering the carnage that would have been very good!
XC: We went clear! She felt really happy over all of it including the big tables which are my nemesis. Link to photo here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4572891&l=5159dcf518&id=687914592
So lots to work on, but just over the moon with her today as I've produced her from a just turned 5yo to today where we bumbled round a novice course clear. Next stop Milton Keynes where we aim for sub 45 dressage, sub 25 SJ and a confident round XC!
