My little girl Daisy at last got her wish, she has always wanted to canter ( she is only 4) she has been ridingfor over 2 years, so today I took the plunge and gave it ago, and she rode to canter GREAT :D

I always have known she was a natural, but she was on quite a strong pony and even though I had a lead reign on her, I held it really loose just to make sure I was at hand, and to see if she could ride well enough to do it by herself, and she did it 3 times, well done girl and well done for trying out a different pony.

BTW I may have bought her, her first pony, she is perfect and they have known each other for over a year, but the ponys back legs worry me, they seem to be weak at the hocks, but otherwise a lovely little show pony, and perfect for lead reign, what do you all think? I would send piccies but still cant work out how to do itxx
 
That is fantastic bless her little heart, that must have been a "proud mummy moment" :)

The new pony sounds lovely, and good that they know each other, but maybe have a vetting if you`re worried about the rear legs. It could be something and nothing, but at least you won`t end up with massive vets bills.
