A couple of months ago my paddock owner advised that he had sold the paddocks where I graze my horses - I've been there 6 years and have a 5 acre paddock of my own but with no facilities.

New place is far more expensive but is just 1 mile away from home, compared with 10 miles, has stables, tack room and wash bay and access to lovely wide grass verges. Fences are post and rail, hedged and lovely shade trees. One disadvantage - I have to muck out whereas I usually harrow.

Neddies move in on Saturday. :)

New place sounds fab. Much better to muck out anyway for good worm health and to maximise the grazing! Horses hate 'soured' patches and avoid them like the plague. We muck out all summer (it takes but minutes if done daily) and then harrow in the muck pile over winter. Good luck!
