At last ... Isabel Werth leading from the top!

but why oh why does she have to wear such a ghastly hat!!!!!

It is hideous. Perhaps she was paid big bucks by Uvex to wear it?!

Am i the only one who thinks a lot of these plastic hats are HIDEOUS!

Good for her, let's hope it works :)

I absolutely adore Isabell and i really do admire her for this.
But without trying to be controversial :o ... I have only ever seen her with a hat on once before in an advert for one of her new saddles on youtube.
Although this is probably just me being blind
Well done though Ms Werth.
And may i just say, as a teenage boy, I actually like that gold hat of hers ;)

A lot of people are not overly keen on traditional attire, which is why there is a huge market for the more flashy/modern stuff- the "plastic hats" are no different to garish skull silks and we have had them for a fair few years!
I rather like the fact that fashion is finding it's way in our sports, for too long it has been bland and boring. not everything is to my taste, and there are a lot fo items I would not take gift wrapped, but the fact the options are out there is IMO a great thing :)

No you are not the only one I think it is awful too but good on her for wearing one.

The only thing i'm not too overly keen on are boots. There was an article in H&H a while ago saying the Edward Gal was getting gold boots. Anky van Grunsven has silver ones too. That's where I draw a line i'm afraid :D

Good for her!

Not too keen on the gold colour but my instructor came this week with a black Uvex (her New Year's resolution is to wear a hat) and it was really nice. Very light weight, interestingly adjustable (it has a little gadget at the back that instantly tightens it) and feels more breathable than traditional hats (it gets so hot here, heatstroke is a risk factor).
