AT out, Buck D in....

Am I missing something .... are you sure she just hasnt been included in the test event?

Not that I want to see her compete.

like I put on another thread - wonder if she's entered Burghley with Dan?

And IIRC the verdict is due a week today at the latest......

Interesting........ ~rubs chin~

Not that I think she'd get a nice welcome at Burghley from the home crowd

I will definatly be there.

Do only 2 riders from each participating nation go to the test event? I'd hate to be there, the climate will be awful!

I swear more than 2 Brits are heading out

I don't know how many from each country. I just know that Kim S. and Amy T were announced back in April to be the representatives for the USET going to the test event in Hong Kong and then a new announcement was made a few weeks ago that Kim S. and Buck Davidson would be representing the US and no explanation given ( I think everyone knows, not rocket science to figure out why..)....yes, it's going to be bloody hot, I feel for them and I can't imagine what it will be like in 2008...animal rights are not a big concern, from what I understand, in China....

Terry Boon, Amanda Ratcliffe and Amy Young

Victoria Mitchell will replace Amanda if her horse gets a qualifying results at Luhmulen - according to Eventing

Because it is a test event, I dont think the results count for much, basically its like a dress rehearsal for the real thing, so the top combinations would not be risked at such an event. It has the bonus for the others of experiencing the international set up.
BTW I haven't heard of those two either.

Is it bad Ive never heard of Amanda Ratcliffe and Amy Young?! How come its not one of the top pro's? (like WFP etc.)

[/ QUOTE ]

Amy won individual gold for GB at last years young rider Europeans.
Amanda has done Badminton and Burghley a few times but not had any major wins so is less well known.

sounds sensible to send them - not for beijiing 2008 but to give them 'Olympic' experience for maybe 2012 or for future senior world/european champs. - sending one experienced rider and one less experienced

Kim S. is very experienced and Buck D. has had the backing of dad Bruce all his life.

AT website said she'd be going to the test event - so she's obviously not now
